Chinese Officials Visit California for HSR |
Chinese officials recently toured the first phase of California's High Speed Rail system in Fresno. Japanese officials have already visited California with more countries expected to follow suit, including teams from France, Germany and Spain.
Florida has received $2.3 billion in federal funding for the high speed rail segment between Tampa and Orlando. Congressman John Mica says the remaining $280 million needed to build Florida's High Speed Rail should come from private investors.
