|
Driving on Interstate 4 just got easier for English- and Spanish-speaking motorists. While interacting with the new Florida 511, Spanish-speaking callers hear a new voice delivering travel information on 511. The pleasant, pre-recorded tones belong to Simone Fojgiel, Uruguay native and the Spanish voice of 511.
Since 2005, Simone Fojgiel has exclusively dedicated her talent to voice-over recordings, audio production and English/Spanish translations. Because of her expertise, she has become the most recognized Uruguayan voice around the globe, and a high-demand talent in the United States. Fojgiel provides her voice to an impressive client list of multinational brands, such as Gillette, Levi’s, Maybelline, Visa, MasterCard, McDonald’s, The Walt Disney Company, Comcast, CITGO and WiiFit.
Recording the Spanish prompts for the new Florida 511 took significant time in the studio.
“We worked from November 2008 through February 2009 recording 300 voice prompts daily for 511. I made a record number of recordings in June returning 2,000 prompts in one week,” said Fojgiel.
Fojgiel says she always knew her voice would take her far.
“I didn’t care that I was born and lived in a small country in South America. I was sure that somehow my voice was going to be heard far beyond those frontiers,” said Fojgiel. “I feel blessed every single day that this profession is my way of living, and that my talent is appreciated.”
So before each commute, Spanish-speaking drivers calling 511 receive travel information from the world-recognized voice talent of Simone Fojgiel. |
