Five maintenance projects will close some Interstate 4 lanes over the next week. Drivers are advised to stay alert for traffic shifts in the affected areas during the scheduled maintenance times.
I-4 and John Young Parkway Interchange
Dates: Thursday, April 16 through Saturday, April 25
Florida Department of Transportation crews will clean and paint the eastbound and westbound I-4 bridges over John Young Parkway and the westbound I-4 exit flyover ramp to John Young Parkway.
• The shoulder of the flyover ramp from westbound I-4 to John Young Parkway (Exit 79) will be closed during daytime hours.
• One lane of John Young Parkway in either direction may be closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Two lanes of John Young Parkway in either direction may be closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• One lane of L.B. McLeod Road may be closed near I-4 in either direction between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• One lane of L.B. McLeod Road and John Young Parkway may be closed near I-4 in either direction between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday only.
• There will be no lane closures on Fridays or Saturdays.
Dates: Tuesday, April 21
Crews will repair a bridge joint over westbound I-4 leading up to John Young Parkway (Exit 79).
• One westbound I-4 lane may be closed between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.
• One or two westbound I-4 lanes may be closed between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
I-4 and SR 535
Dates: Tuesday, April 21
Florida Department of Transportation crews will clean and perform maintenance on westbound I-4 over SR-535 (Exit 68).
• The two right lanes, and later the two left lanes, of westbound I-4 may close between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Dates: Wednesday, April 22
Crews will repair a sign structure on eastbound I-4 over SR-535 (Exit 68).
• The two left lanes of eastbound I-4 may close between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
I-4 and Maitland Boulevard
Dates: Thursday, April 16
Florida Department of Transportation crews will place asphalt on the median of I-4 near Maitland Boulevard (Exits 90A and 90B).
• The left lane on westbound I-4 may close between 11:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. |
