U.S. DOT RECEIVES 90 APPLICATIONS FOR FLORIDA'S HSR FUNDING |
The U.S. DOT has received more than 90 applications from 24 states for Florida's rejected high speed rail funding. California, the Midwest and Northeast are seeking the largest shares of the funding. Even Wisconsin is getting on the train and has submitted a joint application with Illinois, Michigan and Missouri.
The American Public Transit Association recently released a report stating the investment in 21st century passenger rail will result in 1.3 million jobs in the U.S. over six years. |
