U.S. Public Interest Research Group Releases Report on Economic Benefits of HSR |
The U.S. Public Interest Research Group recently released a report saying high speed rail reduces the volume of flights between nearby cities, reduces city-to-city car travel and congestion, saves energy and protects the environment.
Former Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta said in an exclusive interview that America will lose out on vital technology development if the country does not move forward with a national system of high speed rail. |
