FLORIDA CONSTRUCTION UPDATE AND NEWS FROM THE DESERTXPRESS |
Kevin Thibault, Executive Director of the Florida High Speed Rail Enterprise, briefed the Florida Transportation Commission on his updated timeline for construction to begin for the Orlando to Tampa segment of Florida's high speed rail.
Additionally, the Florida Rail Enterprise will brief the public, Florida's Congressional Delegation and other officials July 19 in Tampa.
In the west, The California to Las Vegas DesertXpress is gaining ground but will need approval from the Federal Railroad Administration to break ground as planned in 2011. The DesertXpress is planned to run from Las Vegas, Nevada to Victorville, California. |
